Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce has been committed to supporting businesses to grow in international markets and to that end, its Global Connect initiative now comprises more than 680 connections and 52 partnerships across 92 markets.
Global Connect brings together a diverse ecosystem of bilateral and regional chambers, trade associations, foreign embassies, trade and investment promotion agencies, private sector consultants and service providers under a sustainable commercial model, pooling resources from the Chamber and its partners to offer information, practical advice and cost-effective market entry and trade facilitation services, helping traders succeed in global markets.
This past month, the Chamber renew its partnership with DevelopmentAid, a Business Intelligence Platform bringing together information and development tender opportunities from global donors, international development banks and governments – so whether you are exporting goods or services, this platform not only makes it easier to identify opportunities but can connect you with potential partners.
Artiom Savastin, Partnerships Manager at DevelopmentAid said: “We’re pleased to renew our partnership with the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce! As part of this renewed collaboration, all members now receive free access to our recorded and upcoming webinars, along with a one-month free trial of DevelopmentAid as well as TenderWell our new platform focused on global government tenders."
Susana Córdoba, Head of International Trade Services said: "I am delighted our Partnership has been renewed with DevelopmentAid, and our members now also have the opportunity to have access to their new TenderWell platform. Combining these two platforms truly enhances the opportunity for our members to connect with a wide range of tender’s opportunities from across the world."
If you are interested in trialling any of the platforms, please email our team at international@gmchamber.co.uk for more information.
Expanding our Network in Nigeria
Following the successful event focusing on Africa, the Chamber is delighted to welcome All in One Nigeria as part of our approved supplier network to support businesses who are keen to grow in this market. Nigeria is the 4th largest economy and most populous nation in the continent whose GDP growth is forecast to reach $378bn by end of 2025, offering great opportunities for British companies.
Myles Grant-Smith, MD at All In Ine Nigeria said: “The Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce has shown a genuine commitment to supporting the future growth of All In One Nigeria as we work to expand our presence across the Manchester area. Their team has been proactive in understanding our goals and identifying ways to connect us with relevant networks and opportunities. One key example is their invitation for me to speak at past and future Africa trade-focused events, which aligns perfectly with our mission to support international businesses entering the Nigerian market. Their ongoing encouragement and willingness to champion businesses like ours gives me real confidence in the road ahead.”
Susana Córdoba, Head of International Trade at GMCC said: "I am please to have Myles and his team as an extended arm of our Trade Team supporting businesses wanting to grow their business footprint in Nigeria. The All In One Nigeria team has the experience and the expertise to support businesses on the ground with the right connections and practical advice. We look forward to working closely with them."
