Who Is Eligible To Attend?
An apprentice studying with a GM College*
Their Employer:
MUST be based in Greater Manchester
Can be any sector
Priority targets: private sector
Priority targets: under 250 staff
Apprentice can live anywhere
Apprentice can be on any Career pathway
Level 2 & up (may be most suitable for 3, 4 & 5)
*Additional Eligibility Criteria
1.GM College apprentices - Primary recruitment focus as we believe this represents a valuable opportunity and want to ensure our own apprentices receive maximum benefit from the programme
2.Apprentices from other GM-based businesses - Secondary priority that supports GMFEIP objectives of diffusing innovation to GM employers while providing Innovation Teams with an additional engagement tool when working with local businesses. Active promotion focuses on our own learners, though inviting external apprentices may support broader employer engagement strategies. This is at the discretion of project leaders within each college.
3. Large employers (>249 FTEs) - While our priority aligns with IUK aspirations to focus on employers under 250 FTEs, we recognise the value and ecosystem influence of larger employers. They are not a recruitment priority but may attend events, with participation tracked separately to maintain focus on smaller business objectives
